Energy management ISO 50001

The Pfeifer Group has been certified according to the ISO 50001 energy management system at its German sites in Unterbernbach, Uelzen, Lauterbach and Schlitz for several years.

ISO 50001 is a globally valid standard of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which is intended to support organizations and companies in setting up systematic energy management.

Systematic energy management is based on the complete recording of energy flows in a company (energy sources, energy use, energy consumers).

This data makes it possible to identify significant energy consumers and forms the basis for evaluating the energy efficiency of systems and processes.

This data can be used to derive both technical measures to improve energy efficiency and strategic and organizational management approaches to reduce energy consumption. Regular internal and external audits are used to check the success of the energy management system and ensure that we are continuously developing.

The topics of energy efficiency, sustainability and the environment are becoming increasingly important. For these reasons, the Pfeifer Group is continuously investing in measurement technology and measures to increase energy efficiency. In future, new energy management software will also make it possible to control processes with regard to their energy efficiency based on the exact recording of consumption.
